An Exploration of Puppet Fabrication and Costume Design 2019-2020
Not having explored small scale clothing or costume construction before, I had made it my mission in 2019 to push my limitations on small scale fabrication. At this point I had no prior knowledge of making stop-motion puppets (which was ultimately my final goal) so I oven baked my final character designs. Instead of making their head and bodies movable, I designed them more as figurines. With trial and error I completed two characters inspired by the luxurious nature of sexual scenes in film.
Doll Making
Fabrication and Soft Sculpture 2018-2019
Before I discovered my love for stop motion and puppet fabrication I explored a lot of soft sculpture styles and found a fascination with handmade dolls. I made the dolls using air dry clay, poly-stuffing and scrap fabric to cover the body. I hand painted the hands and feet as well as the heads
